Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
How is Structure different than any other Chiropractor?
We offer our patients far more than just your standard, in-and-out-in-three-minutes chiropractic adjustment. We are committed to partnering with you to get you on the road to living a healthy and pain free life. You will notice that we do not double-stack or double book. We also don’t use high pressure tactics, ask you to sign contracts, or push you into the “three appointments per week” scheme. During your appointment, we focus on you, and you only. This one-on-one approach, incorporating a variety of techniques including soft tissue work, physiotherapy, stretching and alignment, yields results.
Do you accept insurance?
We do not contract with any private or public insurance plans. Chiropractors who accept insurance have a large amount of overhead, because the insurance claims process is so complicated. As a result, they need to see a large number of patients per day, and the time allotted to each patient is typically 5 minutes or less. As a result of this increased patient load, appointments are rushed. Concerns are brushed aside because the chiropractor doesn’t have time to research and think through something that doesn’t have an easy answer. In contrast, our shortest appointment is 60 minutes, and we only see five patients per day.
The average insurance co-pay for chiropractic is $40 per visit. Our maintenance visits are $100, and are a minimum of 60 minutes in length. Consider the fact that you’re only paying $60 more with us per visit than you would with another provider who accepts your insurance. And the value we provide far exceeds that.
Where are you located? Where should I park?
We are located in the Bluwater Crossing lofts, adjacent to the Poinsettia Rail Station. There is plentiful parking available. Note: Your GPS may take you to the east side of our building. If that happens, just exit back onto Avenida Encinas and make a left. Proceed until you see the large “Poinsettia Station” sign, then enter the large parking lot there. Our office is about 3/4 of the way down the building (6860).

What should I expect after my appointment?
1. Drink a lot of water. During your visit, Dr. Jason manipulated joints, muscles, and bones to provide pain relief and other health benefits. When these parts are moved, there is often a release of toxins by the body. Drinking plenty of water helps flush out these toxins, allowing your body to heal.
2. Movement is good, but refrain from vigorous exercise immediately after your appointment. Light movement can help stimulate blood flow, increasing the amount of oxygenated blood that flows through your body. This can help assist or expedite the healing process that starts when you get an adjustment. Speak to Dr. Jason for guidelines on this. He may ask you to take a couple of hours off before exercising or may suggest you wait a day or two. It really depends on your background, level of fitness, and the type of treatment you’re receiving.
3. If Dr. Jason prescribed rehabilitation exercises, then do your best to perform those exercises to expedite the healing process.
4. Pay attention to your body. It’s not uncommon to feel some strange sensations after treatment, because your body is adjusting to new stimuli. These sensations often have to do with the healing process taking place. In some cases, an adjustment could lead to some tingling or cooling sensations in the muscles or affected area. You may also experience stiffness and soreness. To alleviate, consider taking a bath with epsom salts or do some light stretching.
Don’t be afraid to ask questions about your treatment or the symptoms you’re experiencing. You can reach out to us anytime via call or text at 832.689.5022, or email at structurecarlsbad@gmail.com. If Dr. Jason is in an appointment, he’ll contact you at his earliest opportunity.
